About the Role
The Construction Contracts Manager will oversee the full contract lifecycle—negotiating, drafting, managing changes, and guiding project teams through real‑world challenges. This role is primarily remote but requires proximity to a Cumming Group office for occasional on‑site collaboration. Key responsibilities include implementing contract tracking processes, maintaining comprehensive contractual records, monitoring compliance with milestones and service‑level agreements, and ensuring smooth contract close‑out or renewal. The manager also plans and coordinates project schedule, scope, and cost while identifying value‑engineering opportunities and communicating with stakeholders. • Implement and maintain contract tracking processes and policies. • Develop and manage relationships with client contract managers, procurement, and third‑party personnel. • Review, redline, and negotiate both standard and non‑standard contracts with client attorneys or purchasing staff. • Maintain complete contractual records, correspondence, change orders, status reports, and executed documents. • Monitor transaction compliance, including milestones, deliverables, invoicing, and SLA adherence. • Oversee contract close‑out, extensions, or renewals. • Plan, manage, and coordinate project schedule, scope, and cost; identify value‑engineering opportunities. • Communicate with and manage project stakeholders; prepare project management plans and fee proposals. • Re‑evaluate contract scope against client goals and recommend adjustments as needed. • Coordinate cost estimates, cost studies, job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation with cost management team. • Organize and maintain electronic and physical project documentation. • Drive permitting process by preparing and submitting documents to local, state, and federal agencies. • Ensure design management aligns with budget, scope, schedule, and client standards. • Prepare cost and revenue projections.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of contracting, design, procurement, and construction regulations, excels at analyzing and negotiating contract terms, and demonstrates effective written and oral communication. Collaboration, relationship‑building, self‑development, and accountability to organizational goals are essential. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CFCM, CCCM, CCPM, PMP, PE, AIA, or LEED, and at least five years of contract administration experience in a corporate or construction environment. A background in design or construction, whether through work, internships, or cooperative education, is also valued. • Strong understanding of contracting processes, design, procurement, and construction regulations. • Ability to analyze, negotiate, and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and company objectives. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Demonstrated relationship‑building and collaboration with teams and clients. • Preferred certifications: CFCM, CCCM, CCPM; additional certifications such as PMP, PE, AIA, LEED are desirable. • Minimum five years of contract administration experience in a corporate or construction environment.
