About the Role
Key duties include managing RFIs and change orders, leading design‑phase meetings, reviewing drawings for industry compliance, and maintaining a comprehensive document‑control library. The engineer will coordinate with architects, contractors and stakeholders, identify and mitigate risks, monitor schedule progress, prepare status reports, and enforce safety and SOX controls to sustain a collaborative and secure work environment. • Provide technical and administrative support across design, procurement, and construction phases. • Manage RFIs and change orders, ensuring clear scope, cost, and schedule definition. • Lead internal and external meetings during the engineering design phase. • Review design drawings for compliance with industry standards and resolve engineering comments. • Maintain a document control library of all project documentation and drawing updates. • Communicate continuously with stakeholders and adjust plans to meet contractual obligations. • Coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure designs meet legal and regulatory requirements. • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans. • Monitor project schedule, coordinate activities, and resolve issues to keep work on track. • Prepare status reports by analyzing trends and recommending corrective actions. • Enforce safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean work environment. • Maintain a project risks database and promote a collaborative work culture. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities when applicable.

What You Bring
The candidate must possess strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication, and the capacity to influence and coach teams. Required technical skills include AutoCAD, Primavera or MS Project, and Procore/Documentum. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 10‑15 years of EPC experience on large oil, gas, chemical or hazardous‑design projects are mandatory, along with a valid driver’s license, ability to travel globally, and proficiency with PPE and safety regulations. Work will be performed both in an office and on construction sites, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lb, climb ladders, use respirators, work in confined spaces and tolerate extreme weather conditions.
