About the Role

• Write and create CEQA and/or NEPA environmental documents, reviewing technical studies and permit applications with multidisciplinary experts. • Prepare and oversee research and investigations of technical environmental topics to assess constraints, opportunities, and regulatory impacts. • Conduct environmental impact assessments and collect project‑related data through research, agency interviews, map reviews, and field investigations of wetlands and land use. • Produce constraints mapping and coordinate analyses with agencies such as Caltrans, FHWA, MTC, BART, VTA, FTA, FRA, FAA. • Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings. • Maintain daily verbal and written communication with project teams and clients, support technical staff, write reports and memos, coordinate subconsultants, and keep projects on schedule, within budget, and satisfying clients.

What You Bring

• Experience preparing CEQA and/or NEPA documentation for transportation projects (trails, streets, highways, transit, rail, aviation). • Master’s degree. • Experience working with Caltrans. • Experience managing tasks, staff, and projects. • Experience collaborating with transportation/transit agencies. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public presentation. • Proficiency with GIS and Microsoft Office Suite. • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field. • Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem‑solving, and research abilities.
