About the Role
Leads and directs a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives. Monitors and reports on overall performance of the team and projects. Establishes a performance‑based culture, motivating the team to set and achieve measurable goals that align with PE CoE strategies. Performs design, modeling, simulation, and implementation of power electronics solutions for power conversion and protection. Develops technical requirements and creates technical reports and presentations. Works with the PE CoE director to attract, coach, and mentor team members, strengthening the technical capability of the team. Stays current with the latest power electronics technologies and business trends, applies knowledge to power conversion and protection applications, and creates new opportunities. • Lead and direct engineering teams to meet project goals. • Monitor and report team and project performance. • Establish a performance‑based culture aligned with PE CoE strategies. • Design, model, simulate, and implement power electronics solutions for conversion and protection. • Develop technical requirements, reports, and presentations. • Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to enhance technical capability. • Stay current with power electronics technologies and business trends to create new opportunities.

What You Bring
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum 7 years of industry experience in developing power electronics control or motor control, including control architecture, algorithms, and embedded firmware. Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with control and embedded firmware validation using HIL (e.g., OPAL‑RT) and at least 3 years of team or project leadership experience. A master's or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred. Proficient in modeling, simulation, and analysis using Matlab/Simulink. Experienced in embedded firmware architecture and programming in C/C++. Proficient in developing and implementing controls with auto‑code generation tools such as Simulink Coder. Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented individual with a strong desire for innovation, new product development, and program management. Position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 7 years of power electronics or motor control experience. • Have a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on HIL validation experience and 3 years of team/project leadership. • Demonstrate proficiency in Matlab/Simulink modeling and simulation. • Experience with embedded firmware architecture and C/C++ programming. • Skilled in auto‑code generation tools such as Simulink Coder. • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
