About the Role
The Yard Operations Accounting and Billing role is responsible for all billing, invoicing, and financial reporting related to yard services and equipment. Responsibilities include calculating monthly billing for consumables and equipment, partnering with accounting for superintendent truck billing, tracking fleet vehicle usage, maintaining tool records, and preparing purchase orders. The position also supports system data entry, report generation, documentation compliance, and provides backup support for yard operations. • Calculate and provide all billing for Kraus Anderson Yard Operations services • Complete monthly billing activities of consumables and equipment in billing and production systems • Partner with Accounting to bill KA Superintendent Trucks and ensure proper vendor payment • Generate, review, and distribute invoices to clients based on contracts or project completion • Track movement of all chargeable fleet vehicles and trailers and provide accurate billing data • Maintain record of tools assigned to field personnel and provide monthly reports as requested • Provide backup to City Desk, answering yard phone lines and distributing equipment, tools, and consumables per request • Prepare purchase orders (PO) for field and all offices • Verify correct input of billing data, including client information, rates, and payment terms • Provide Project Accounting with reports of tool/cost and coding assigned to projects and Superintendents • Guide procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, and operational access of records across multiple systems • Responsible for setup and closeout of projects, and vendor setup • Update and maintain all production rate sheets • Assist with maintaining equipment maintenance records • Track vendor rebate programs • Ensure regulatory posters are stocked for jobsites and Yard office (OSHA compliance) • Handle customer inquiries and complaints • Participate in project kick‑off meetings as needed • Responsible for shipping and receiving as needed • Assist with yearly apparel allocation and related needs • Assist KA personnel with walk‑in orders • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures • Travel to job‑sites as needed • Navigate between office floors and attend off‑site meetings

What You Bring
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3‑5 years of related experience, with proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills. Physical demands include extended periods of standing or sitting, regular computer use, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb, with travel to job sites as needed. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 hourly plus a discretionary incentive program. • High school diploma or GED • 3‑5 years related experience or equivalent education/experience • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide exemplary customer service • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals • Exceptional work ethic and uphold company values and conduct standards • Knowledge of ViewPoint computer software • Knowledge of Align computer software • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record • Communicate information clearly (written and verbal) to colleagues and stakeholders • Stand or sit for extended periods (50%+) • Use computer/laptop/iPad in office environment • Lift up to 25 lb unassisted
