About the Role
The Material Handler uses a forklift or other power equipment to move and store a variety of materials, parts, and products. Responsibilities include unloading incoming shipments, transporting items between staging and storage areas, and maintaining organized stacks with proper documentation. The role may also involve operating an overhead crane or hoist (certified associates only) and using a KanBan system to order and replenish supplies. Visual inspection of received items for shortages or damage and notifying internal customers of receipts are also required. • Operate forklift or power equipment to move and store materials. • Unload incoming materials from trailers and vehicles. • Transport items between staging and storage areas. • Store, stack, and arrange material while maintaining documentation. • Verify and quantify received items against purchase orders. • Visually inspect incoming parts for shortages, damage, or defects. • Complete related receiving documentation. • Move or expedite material to the appropriate department. • Pull and package material for delivery to Service Centers. • Use KanBan system to order and replenish materials. • Safely deliver materials to storeroom or point‑of‑use locations. • Notify internal customers of receipts and product markings. • Operate stand‑up or sit‑down forklift safely. • Communicate effectively with other departments. • Read electrical schematics and blueprints to identify parts. • Utilize handheld scanners for inventory tracking.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Fayetteville, NC (active‑duty military exempt). Prior experience in material handling within a manufacturing environment and forklift operation—standup or sit‑down—is preferred. The position demands strong communication with other departments, proficiency with AS400 and Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to read electrical schematics and use handheld scanners for inventory tracking.
