About the Role
The mechanic will use a service truck to perform on‑site repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining and quarry equipment, as well as fixed plant machinery. Work includes troubleshooting engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other major components, as well as welding and fabricating parts when required. • Perform heavy equipment repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on mining and quarry machinery. • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, transmission, brake, electrical, and other system issues. • Weld, fabricate, and manage parts procurement, storage, and cost control. • Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately. • Operate company service truck and mobile equipment safely on public highways and job sites. • Maintain a clean driving record and pass motor vehicle record checks. • Work independently, schedule tasks, and handle weekend overtime as needed.

What You Bring
The company is hiring a full‑time Heavy Equipment Mechanic for its Princeton, KY quarry and Cadiz, KY locations. The day‑shift runs roughly from 5:45 am to 4:00 pm, with overtime as needed, and the starting wage is $30 per hour, adjusted for experience and skill. Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ heavy‑equipment experience, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Familiarity with specialized mining equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, excavators, draglines, drills, dozers, crushers, and conveyors is required, along with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. • Meet physical requirements: lift 50 lb, climb 20 ft, and work in all weather conditions. • Possess at least five years of heavy‑equipment mechanic experience with a safety‑first mindset. • Experienced with haul trucks, loaders, excavators, draglines, drills, dozers, crushers, and conveyors. • Hold a valid DOT medical card after passing the required exam.
