About the Role
Provide leadership, management, and supervision for the planning, layout, and performance of structural steel erection and fabrication work, ensuring compliance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Coordinate craft personnel, allocate necessary resources, and collaborate with other foremen and crews to maintain work flow and keep the project schedule on track. • Maintain positive working relationships with other foremen and crews. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure high‑quality work at all times. • Conduct or participate in safety, quality, production, and planning meetings. • Ensure crew member evaluations and performance agreements are completed. • Champion and promote a Continuous Improvement culture. • Ensure accuracy of timesheets, quantity, and productivity reports. • Develop one‑week and daily work plans, provide feedback on the 6‑week schedule, and understand the critical path. • Establish weekly production goals and execute work on time and under budget. • Adhere to and support all company policies, procedures, and “The Sundt Way.” • Provide coaching and mentoring for crew members. • Set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb occasionally; frequent hand use for grasping and handling. • Move in and around confined, cluttered, uneven areas. • Use telephone, computer, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis for communication.

What You Bring
The role requires a minimum of four years of construction experience, strong standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity, and effective written and verbal communication skills. This safety‑sensitive position demands adherence to all safety standards, regular use of required personal protective equipment, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Minimum four years’ experience in the relevant construction market with in‑depth trade knowledge. • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures; wear required PPE (steel‑toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.). • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently; stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
