About the Role

In this position, you will create basic designs under senior guidance, perform equipment selections, and conduct load, energy, and pressure‑drop calculations for projects of varying sizes. You will conduct field inspections, assist senior engineers with due‑diligence and feasibility reports, and coordinate closely with the multidisciplinary design team and external clients and consultants. Additional duties include developing specifications, system narratives, master drawing organization, supporting project scheduling, budgeting, and processing RFIs and change orders, as well as overseeing QA/QC and construction administration. • Create basic designs under senior guidance and perform equipment selection and load/energy calculations. • Conduct field inspections and assist senior engineers with due‑diligence, feasibility, and technical reports. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external clients, consultants, and vendors. • Develop specifications, system narratives, layouts, and organize master drawings per company standards. • Support project scheduling, manpower, budgeting, and process RFIs, change orders, bulletins, and addenda. • Oversee QA/QC for own and team work and perform construction administration and field investigations.

The company is seeking an Electrical Engineer II‑III for its San Diego, CA office, offering a Monday‑to‑Thursday nine‑hour office schedule and a four‑hour remote work Friday. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, be FE‑certified, and possess 1.5–6 years of MEP experience on aviation, healthcare, commercial, or mission‑critical projects. Proficiency with the latest AutoCAD MEP and Revit, as well as trade‑specific design and energy analysis software such as eQuest or Trace, is required. A basic understanding of system selection, applicable codes, and construction documentation is essential, and experience in mission‑critical, science‑technology, or healthcare sectors with an interest in project management is preferred. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and FE certification. • Possess 1.5–6 years of MEP experience on aviation, healthcare, commercial, or mission‑critical projects. • Proficient in latest AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and trade‑specific design/calculation software (eQuest, Trace). • Understand system selection, applicable codes, and construction documentation. • Experience in mission‑critical, science/technology, or healthcare projects; interest in project management preferred.
