About the Role

The engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, as well as manage containerized environments with Docker or OCI‑compatible tools. Responsibilities include creating reusable pipeline templates, integrating security scans, managing container registries, and supporting infrastructure‑as‑code automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK. • Architect and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment. • Develop reusable pipeline templates with integrated security scanning and artifact management. • Build and optimize Docker or OCI‑compatible container images for dev, test, and production. • Manage container registries, versioning, and enforce security best practices. • Implement IaC workflows using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK. • Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible and other orchestration tools. • Troubleshoot CI/CD failures, container build issues, and environment inconsistencies. • Produce and maintain high‑quality documentation for pipelines and automation patterns. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with engineering teams to improve delivery velocity.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of DevOps experience. • Demonstrate expert‑level proficiency with GitLab CI/CD and strong Docker container skills. • Possess scripting expertise in Python, Bash, or PowerShell and familiarity with AWS services. • Preferred: AWS certifications, experience with event‑driven architectures, and knowledge of government contracting.
