About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role ensures the vehicle meets the company's safety standards before each shift and complies with all company, state, and federal regulations. Daily vehicle condition reports are completed to address any defects promptly. Key duties include following assigned route sheets, loading and compacting waste, interacting professionally with customers and dispatchers, and monitoring waste for prohibited items. The driver maintains the truck’s readiness by cleaning equipment after each trip and adheres to productivity and safety standards, including participation in the ReSOP program. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate the collection truck on assigned routes, following route sheets and maps. • Load, compact, and transport waste using manual or automatic controls. • Provide courteous service to customers and communicate effectively with dispatchers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited items and clean accidental spills per safety standards. • Clean waste from equipment after each disposal trip to keep the vehicle operational. • Complete route sheets, productivity reports, VCRs, and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies, including the ReSOP program.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a Class B or higher commercial driver's license with an air‑brake endorsement and demonstrate strong customer service, time‑management, and follow‑through abilities. They are expected to uphold company policies, prioritize safety, and take pride in their work.
