About the Role

The Quality Technician supports the analysis and resolution of quality problems, handles non-conforming material, prepares inspection plans and instructions, and trains inspectors under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors. The role leads or assists the Quality/Warranty Supervisor and Engineer in continuous improvement of the quality process, conducting audits, ensuring validation and calibration compliance, and creating quality documents aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS) and EQS requirements. Responsibilities include reading documentation to make fact-based decisions, performing root-cause analysis, supporting field service actions and warranty claim processing, and executing process/product audits in accordance with QMS/EQS standards. The technician manages non-conforming material from identification through resolution, leads a cross-functional SME team to evaluate parts, progresses NCMRs to closure, and reviews non-conformity reports to detect trends and trigger corrective or preventive actions. Additional duties involve creating and maintaining pFMEAs and control plans, performing FTY/rework analyses, acting as an ISO Lead Auditor, coordinating audit schedules, and collaborating with manufacturing to drive 8D/error-proofing and defect analysis initiatives. • Analyze and resolve quality issues and non-conforming material. • Prepare inspection plans, instructions, and train inspectors. • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives, conduct audits, and ensure calibration compliance. • Perform root-cause analysis, field service support, and warranty claim processing. • Manage NCMR process, lead cross-functional SME team, and close non-conformance actions. • Create/maintain pFMEAs, control plans, and conduct FTY/rework analysis. • Act as ISO Lead Auditor, coordinate audit schedules, and maintain corrective-action database. • Collaborate with manufacturing on 8D/error-proofing and defect analysis.

What You Bring

Required qualifications are a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least four years of manufacturing experience or a technical degree, proximity to the El Paso, TX facility, proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, and experience with MRB, problem-solving procedures, and technical documentation; knowledge of IPC-620, lean tools, and common problem-solving methodologies is also essential. • Minimum 4 years manufacturing experience or technical degree; high school diploma or equivalent. • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, MRB procedures, and technical writing. • Knowledge of IPC-620, lean concepts, and problem-solving tools (PDCA, A3, 5 Why, etc.). • Must reside within 50 mi of El Paso, TX; no relocation assistance provided.
