About the Role

The Training Manager schedules, coordinates, and facilitates training sessions covering telecommunications principles, techniques, safety, and procedures. The role includes training and evaluating field crews on a wide range of skills such as fiber blowing, bucket truck operations, pole climbing, ladder safety, CPR, NESC, trenching, confined spaces, and more. Additional duties include designing and tailoring course content, using visual aids, observing employee performance, administering tests, preparing reports, maintaining training records, and supporting operations and safety teams. Travel to job sites is required, and the manager must manage groups of students safely, demonstrate equipment, and explain troubleshooting methods. • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate telecommunications training sessions. • Train and evaluate field crews on fiber blowing, bucket truck, pole climbing, ladder safety, CPR, NESC, trenching, confined spaces, and related skills. • Use visual aids such as videos, PowerPoint, graphs, and charts to enhance learning. • Assist in designing curriculum and tailor courses to participant needs. • Observe employee performance, provide feedback, and administer written, oral, or practical tests. • Prepare and maintain training records, including grades, attendance, and activity details. • Support operations and safety teams to improve safety, quality, and productivity. • Travel to various job sites to conduct classes and visit students. • Manage student groups safely and efficiently, demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting methods.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, journeyman‑level experience in aerial telecommunications construction, a valid driver’s license (CDL Class A preferred), OSHA Outreach Instructor certification, and First Aid certification. Physical ability to lift 75 lb and perform extensive climbing, bending, and confined‑space work is required, as well as strong organization, Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) proficiency, and positive interpersonal skills. • Hold a high school diploma or GED and journeyman‑level aerial construction experience. • Possess a valid driver’s license (CDL Class A preferred) and OSHA Outreach Instructor certification. • Maintain Medic First Aid certification and be able to lift up to 75 lb. • Demonstrate strong organization, Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) proficiency, and positive interpersonal skills.
