About the Role

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools. • Safely operate hand and power tools after training (e.g., drills, crimpers, cutters). • Lift, position, and fasten objects. • Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment. • Work under close supervision following standard instructions and procedures. • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Pull DC and MV wire and perform other assigned duties. • Read and interpret safety regulations, blueprints, and related documents. • Follow instructions and ask clarifying questions when needed. • Handle materials up to 200 lb and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (assistance provided for loads over 50 lb). • Provide professional customer service and effective communication. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.

What You Bring

Mortenson is currently seeking an Electrical Apprentice I to assist with utility-scale projects, ensuring safety and compliance with electrical regulations while training under a journey-level electrician. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining energy equipment. The base pay range for this role is $25.49‑$50.99 per hour, with higher rates for certain locations, and pay is positioned within the range based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; the company is unable to sponsor any employment visas at this time. • Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Have some construction and/or electrical experience. • Maintain a current driver’s license. • Use power and non‑powered hand tools proficiently. • Work safely with electrical equipment and possess knowledge of electrical systems. • Demonstrate strong teamwork orientation and a positive attitude. • Work in heat and various weather conditions, frequently crouch, kneel, squat, and climb.
