About the Role
The Road Mechanic role focuses on maintaining and repairing Sunbelt’s equipment fleet to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of machines, ranging from aerial work platforms to large‑scale generators and HVAC systems. The position requires working safely in both indoor and outdoor settings, often in remote locations. • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil & gas equipment. • Work in remote, challenging locations handling various makes and models. • Develop skills for career progression into service or operations management. • Collaborate with a safety‑focused team.

What You Bring
The job demands physical stamina, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Mechanics must be adaptable to a fast‑paced environment and may need to provide their own tools of trade. Flexibility and the ability to handle changing priorities are essential. • Hold a high school diploma or GED; trade school training and 3‑5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience preferred. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations. • Provide personal mechanic tools and demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment; bilingual ability may be required. • Lift 50 lb+ and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and working indoors/outdoors.
