About the Role

In this role, the engineer will lead design, investigation, analysis, and construction of water management systems for mine waste storage facilities, mentor technical staff, provide technical advice, and perform independent reviews of engineering reports, calculations, 3D models, and drawings while contributing to budget and schedule development. • Lead design, investigation, analysis, and construction of water management systems for mine waste storage facilities. • Mentor technical staff and serve as a technical advisor and reviewer. • Conduct independent technical reviews and sign off on engineering reports, calculations, 3D models, and drawings. • Develop study and design procedures to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective work. • Prepare technical specifications and support engineering budget and schedule development. • Produce detailed technical reports with summaries, figures, tables, and methodology explanations. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BS degree, at least six years of relevant experience, a PE license, and a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a PE in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Arizona, an advanced degree, eight or more years of experience, MSHA miner training, and proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic software such as HEC‑RAS and HEC‑HMS. • Minimum qualifications: BS in engineering, 6+ years experience, PE license, valid US driver’s license. • Preferred qualifications: PE in CO/NM/UT/AZ, Master’s or PhD, 8+ years experience, MSHA miner training, expertise in stormwater design and HEC‑RAS/HEC‑HMS. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; no sponsorship or relocation assistance provided.
