About the Role

• Plan and coordinate rail system life‑cycle processes from concept through decommissioning. • Conduct assessments to verify compliance with specifications, safety, and availability requirements. • Ensure systems are developed according to agreed specifications and are safely operable. • Support all stages of the rail system life‑cycle, including design, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and modification. • Work within WSP’s collaborative, innovative culture on complex transportation projects. • Participate in a safety‑focused environment through the “Making Health and Safety Personal” initiative and zero‑harm vision.

What You Bring

The RAMS/SESA (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance) Engineer is responsible for planning and coordinating rail systems' life‑cycle processes, providing engineering and operational assessment and analysis to ensure that systems are developed according to agreed specifications and are safely and reliably available for rail service. Assessment activities may occur at any stage of the railway system life‑cycle, from conception, specification, design, manufacture, test, commissioning, operation, maintenance, modification, and occasionally decommissioning. The role therefore requires broad knowledge and experience of both engineering and operational aspects of railways together with well‑developed assessment and analysis skills. • Apply broad knowledge of railway engineering and operations with strong analysis skills.
