About the Role
• Manage pre‑contract tender process, assess tenders, handle queries, and issue contract award recommendation reports. • Produce robust estimates aligned to scope and risk allowances. • Provide commercial inputs to procurement and develop agreed strategies. • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions. • Maintain proactive budget and cost management, delivering solutions with a ‘can‑do’ attitude. • Manage project and programme risk, implementing mitigation plans. • Build strong client relationships across the organisation. • Support internal business development initiatives. • Manage post‑contract projects from award to final account, including budgeting, forecasting, payment assessments and compensation events. • Use contract management software such as CEMAR. • Travel to and work in client offices in Cumbria.

What You Bring
Owing to the expansion of our Environment and Water portfolio we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful applicant will exhibit a keen enthusiasm for collaborating with our client teams to ensure the successful delivery of their complex projects on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while upholding a strong commitment to safety. This exceptional opportunity provides the successful candidate with exposure to complex infrastructure projects in the UK. • Own accurate commercial reporting. • Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent. • Possess extensive experience with NEC3/4 ECC Option A, C or E for project delivery and administration. • Demonstrate practical application of NEC3/4 ECC provisions. • Be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS). • Demonstrate effective stakeholder management. • Desirable: Be an NEC3/4 ECC accredited Project Manager. • Desirable: Have knowledge of the water/wastewater sector, Water Industry Act 1991 and New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 Section 84. • Desirable: Make well‑reasoned, timely decisions based on client and team needs. • Desirable: Have pre‑contract tendering experience on NEC3/4 ECC.
