About the Role
The Senior Component Design Engineer, based in Pune, will create robust mechanical solutions for product systems and subsystems, ensuring on‑time delivery of design artefacts that satisfy functional, physical and manufacturability requirements. Working within an integrated product team, the engineer follows Rolls‑Royce Management System policies and supports lifecycle profitability through effective supply‑chain integration. • Develop technically challenging, cost‑effective component designs that meet customer, regulatory and manufacturing requirements. • Integrate cross‑functional requirements (design, test, production) and collaborate with global manufacturers adhering to Rolls‑Royce Power Systems policies. • Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and GD&T drawings for coolers, pumps, and related assemblies using PTC Creo and Windchill. • Perform CFD and FEA analysis interpretation and provide design improvement solutions. • Design and specify various coolers (charge‑air, EGR, oil, fuel, sea‑water) and coolant pumps based on engine performance and emission criteria. • Apply knowledge of casting, welding, brazing, DVPs, testing, and ERP (SAP) to ensure manufacturability and lifecycle profitability. • Deliver technical training and support to teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment and quality standards.
