About the Role

Job Description: Workers Compensation Coordinator II – The Coordinator manages and administers the company’s workers‑compensation program, coordinating claims, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting employees and management on workers‑compensation issues. • Manage day-to-day operations of workers compensation program, ensuring prompt and efficient processing of claims. • Coordinate with medical providers, employees, and insurance carriers to facilitate a smooth claims process. • Maintain accurate records of all workers’ compensation claims and related documentation. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workers compensation laws and regulations. • Provide guidance and training to management and employees on workers’ compensation procedures and policies. • Investigate and report on incidents and accidents to determine root cause and implement preventive measures. • Work closely with human resources and legal departments to handle complex workers compensation cases. • Coordinate return-to-work programs and assist in developing modified duty plans for injured employees. • Monitor and analyze trends in workers’ compensation claims to identify areas for improvement. • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as needed. • May be called into work outside normal hours or work long hours for emergencies.

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 3 years experience in workers’ compensation management, preferably in a self‑insured environment. • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations. • Working knowledge of legal claim settlement and familiarity with joint petition, interrogatory and other work comp forms and court rulings terminology. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and workers compensation software. • Certification in Workers Compensation (e.g., CWCP) preferred. • Primarily performed in a climate‑controlled office; may require frequent exposure to manufacturing production floor. • Required to wear proper personal protective equipment and maintain safety procedures. • Sit and stand for long periods; ability to lift up to 25 lb.
