About the Role
As an Electrician/Electrical Fitter you will install, maintain and test HV and LV substation equipment on essential infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with industry standards. This hands‑on role provides opportunities to grow technical expertise within a high‑performing team. • Install and upgrade substation equipment as per specifications • Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on primary and auxiliary plant • Conduct testing and fault diagnosis on transformers, switchgear, and circuits • Operate and isolate power systems to ensure safe working conditions • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including test results and equipment history • Participate in site risk assessments and ensure safe work practices • Support customer relationships through professional service delivery • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards • Participate in training and development activities • Contribute to project work and may be part of an after‑hours standby roster

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a NZ‑registered electrician with strong communication and teamwork skills, physically fit for work at heights, holds a full driver’s licence and is fluent in written and spoken English. Experience with high‑voltage systems is preferred but not essential, and a strong safety awareness is required.
