About the Role

The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor leads a maintenance shop under the direction of a Maintenance Manager, supervising a team of technicians who perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of trucks, containers, and heavy‑duty equipment. This role ensures all work complies with company safety standards, federal and state regulations, and seeks to minimize downtime by planning and scheduling repairs efficiently. Key duties include directing A, B, and C‑level technicians, monitoring operational performance, and reporting results with recommendations for process improvements. The supervisor conducts daily shop huddles, fleet walks, coaching, and performance evaluations, collaborates with Human Resources on hiring and terminations, and oversees quality‑control inspections of both internal and external repairs. Additional responsibilities involve managing complex diagnostics, inventory control, budget approvals, and maintaining detailed maintenance records in Dossier Maintenance Software.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess ASE certifications covering diesel engines, brakes, suspension, electrical/electronic systems, HVAC, and other specialties. At least three years of heavy‑equipment maintenance experience and one year in a supervisory or lead‑technician role are required, along with thorough knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory safety practices.
