About the Role
The tool and die maker is responsible for designing, planning, fabricating, assembling, and maintaining tooling used in stamping operations. This role works closely with production and engineering teams to ensure that parts meet dimensional tolerances, quality standards, and are optimized for manufacturability. • Fabricate and repair stamp tooling, including punches, dies, and assemblies. • Collaborate with production teams to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards. • Troubleshoot and optimize die designs with engineering to improve manufacturability. • Participate in tooling try‑outs and engineering changes to ensure safety and accuracy. • Recommend tooling repairs or outsourcing when needed. • Perform sub‑assembly and bench fitting of precision tools and produce high‑accuracy components. • Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling to extend lifespan. • Design fixtures/tools, generate CAD/CAM/3D drawings, and select appropriate metal materials.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical or vocational training in CNC operation preferred, and a minimum of three years’ experience in tool and die work. Required competencies include strong machining and setup abilities, proficiency with CAD/CAM/3D software, and knowledge of progressive and transfer stamping tools. Preferred qualifications include the ability to interpret complex blueprints, strong mechanical and analytical skills, solid mathematics understanding, and possession of a journeyman card or apprenticeship certificate. The position also demands physical capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 35 lb unassisted. • Maintain a high school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational CNC training preferred. • Possess at least three years of tool and die experience and knowledge of progressive and transfer stamping tools. • Demonstrate strong machining, setup, and CAD/CAM/3D skills. • Read and interpret complex blueprints; apply strong mechanical, analytical, and math abilities. • Hold a journeyman card or apprenticeship certificate (preferred). • Lift up to 35 lb unassisted and stand or sit for extended periods.
