About the Role
The Safety Engineer for Sewerage Networks (Microtunneling) is responsible for safeguarding personnel, equipment, and the environment throughout each phase of sewerage system projects. This role requires a steadfast commitment to the highest health‑and‑safety standards, ensuring that all construction activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices. Key duties involve conducting thorough risk assessments, reviewing design plans, and developing robust emergency response strategies. The engineer must also coordinate with authorities, oversee traffic diversion schemes, and ensure strict adherence to DM and RTA safety manuals, thereby minimizing accident potential and protecting public safety. • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for sewerage network construction, focusing on environmental, equipment, material handling, and process hazards. • Review and enhance risk mitigation strategies to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices. • Examine plans and specifications for sewer and stormwater networks to identify safety and operational risks. • Develop and manage emergency response plans for incidents such as chemical spills, equipment failures, or accidents. • Coordinate with emergency services and relevant authorities to ensure prompt response during crises. • Ensure adherence to DM and RTA safety and engineering standards throughout all project phases. • Prepare and oversee traffic diversion schemes at work zones to protect public safety and reduce disruptions.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least ten years of experience in safety for network construction and a strong understanding of health‑and‑safety laws and standards. A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil, environmental, or health‑and‑safety engineering is required, along with proven expertise in risk mitigation and compliance. • Possess at least ten years of experience in safety for network construction. • Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in civil, environmental, or health and safety engineering. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
