About the Role

Shifts run from 6 am to 8 pm, Monday through Sunday, with a requirement of 3‑5 days per week amounting to approximately 15‑30 hours depending on staff availability. Downer plans, creates and sustains essential public services across Australia and New Zealand, managing critical infrastructure such as hospitals, data centres and defence partnerships that keep communities thriving. • Accurately handle financial transactions and cash management. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers. • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, hygienic environment. • Deliver high‑quality customer service to create memorable guest experiences. • Provide flexible availability, including weekends and peak periods.

All candidates must complete a work rights check and reference checks as a prerequisite for the role. • Proven experience in food and beverage service, especially in high‑volume settings. • At least one year of barista experience (preferred). • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for exceptional customer service. • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, multitask and prioritize effectively. • Team‑oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
