Cleaner, On Call- Evenings

About the Role

The Cleaner works under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and is responsible for a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services, following the company's established standards, instructions, and procedures. This on‑call evening position requires flexibility to cover absences and scheduled time off. • Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other interior surfaces using light and heavy commercial equipment. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean daily and shampoo rugs as directed. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high dusting. • Wash interior windowsills, glass, and specified interior/exterior windows and entrance doors. • Spot‑clean interior walls daily as needed. • Clean and restock bathrooms, including damp‑wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stalls, and scrubbing floors. • Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or inoperative lights. • Collect building trash daily, replace liners, and place waste in approved containers for removal. • Sweep or shovel snow from steps, walkways, and sidewalks as directed. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing. • Provide coverage for absences and scheduled time off as needed.

What You Bring

• No prior cleaning experience required; must follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively in a team. • Ability to operate cleaning tools and equipment, including portable backpack vacuums. • Requires attention to detail, pride in service, strong organization, high energy, and endurance.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $21.08 to $24.80 per hour, with competitive pay based on location, experience, and collective bargaining agreements.
