BIM Modeler - Dry Utilities

About the Role

Support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in daily BIM implementation activities. Develop 3D and 2D dimensional models for drawing preparation, clash reporting and presentation, aligned with project LOD requirements and modeling standards. Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review and quantity surveying, and ensure coordination of model interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines. Verify that all models, drawings and deliverables meet project and company quality standards and BIM requirements. Prepare engineering drawings from the model, including basic arrangements, layouts, profiles and sections, and develop 2D geometry for internal reviews and coordination meetings. Deliver Project Information Models (PIMs) according to the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocols and submit BIM packages in line with project standards. Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs, and prepare models and reports for constructability analysis. Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Key technical elements include Civil 3D modeling and 3D model‑based workflows, catalogs and libraries, modeling standards, naming conventions, cut‑sheet extraction, modeling templates, a common data environment, and project information model delivery. Additional responsibilities cover quantity take‑off, scheduling, asset information model delivery, COBie, O&M and asset tagging. • Support BIM Coordinator and project delivery teams in daily BIM implementation. • Develop 3D/2D models for drawings, clash detection, and presentations per LOD standards. • Extract models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying. • Coordinate model interfaces across multidisciplinary designers and engineers. • Ensure all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with quality and BIM standards. • Prepare engineering drawings and 2D geometry for internal reviews and coordination. • Deliver Project Information Models according to TIDP, MIDP, and CDE protocols. • Conduct clash detection, visual walkthroughs, and constructability analysis. • Submit BIM packages in line with project standards and requirements. • Collaborate with lead technical engineer to meet delivery timelines. • Apply BIM standards, naming conventions, and asset information modeling (COBie, O&M).

What You Bring

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Modeler to join our team. In this role you will support the BIM Coordinator and our Project Delivery Teams to execute the day‑to‑day development, establishment and implementation of BIM in the Abu Dhabi office. A bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of five years of related experience. Strong computer CAD/BIM and technical skills are needed to produce 3D/2D models for production, quality checking, coordination and constructability analysis. Proficiency in Civil 3D modeling, digital delivery methods and quality assurance compliance is essential. Desired skills include PC literacy, proficiency in BIM standards processes and related modeling software, and strong communication and coordination abilities. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering with at least five years of experience. • Proficient in CAD/BIM software, Civil 3D modeling, and digital delivery methods. • Demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills.
