About the Role

The Senior Construction Inspector role focuses on large‑scale infrastructure projects such as road‑widening, bridge remediation, and underground development. You will work closely with senior project, project, and construction managers to ensure that infrastructure complies with provincial and municipal codes and contract specifications. Key responsibilities include daily bridge and road inspections, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining detailed diaries and photographs of construction activities. You will also coordinate on‑site sub‑consultants, oversee quality‑assurance material testing, report installed quantities for payment applications and change orders, and maintain project files and documentation required by the contract. • Conduct daily bridge and road inspections to verify compliance with contract specifications and MTO/municipal codes. • Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to on all project sites. • Document construction activities with detailed diaries and photographs for accurate record‑keeping. • Coordinate on‑site sub‑consultants and oversee quality‑assurance material testing procedures. • Report installed quantities to support monthly payment applications and change‑order work. • Maintain organized project files, quantity calculations, and required documentation per contract terms.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a degree or diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, be PEO or OACETT registered, and possess the Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) designation. A minimum of 10 years of inspection experience on MTO or municipal transportation projects, knowledge of MTO’s Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications, and proficiency with MS Word and Excel are required, along with a valid Class G driver’s licence and personal transportation. • Hold a degree/diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, PEO/OACETT registration, RCSI designation, 10+ years of relevant inspection experience, and a valid Class G driver’s licence.
