About the Role

The Senior Municipal Engineer will plan, design, and construct wet utilities—including watermains, storm, and sanitary sewer systems—to support roads, facilities, environmental, and transit projects. Responsibilities include collecting and reviewing field data, performing technical analysis, and producing concept, preliminary, and detailed designs with accompanying drawings, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates. In this role the engineer will lead the planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring solutions meet technical standards, budgets, and schedules. Design oversight involves directing and validating calculations, drawings, and specifications, while providing field support through site inspections and issue resolution. The engineer will also coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and maintain proactive communication with clients, municipalities, and regulators. Additional duties include incorporating municipal design standards and third‑party utility layouts into project designs, preparing and submitting permit applications, and performing QA/QC reviews of deliverables. What You Bring

Candidates must hold a university degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field and be a registered P.Eng. Ten to fifteen years of experience in wet‑utility planning, design, or construction are required, along with proficiency in watermain and sewer design calculations and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and preferably Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential. The position is based in Toronto, Ontario, with no relocation assistance provided; local candidates are preferred. Employment status is full‑time, and the role adheres to the company's hybrid (in‑person and remote) work policy. • Hold a university degree in Civil Engineering or related field and be a registered P.Eng. • Possess 10–15 years of experience in wet‑utility planning, design, or construction. • Proficient in watermain and sewer design calculations and drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D/Bentley OpenRoads). • Demonstrate strong communication and technical writing skills.

The salary range for this full‑time position is $107,000 to $150,000, dependent on experience and location.
