About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to operate, inspect, and service plant equipment typically found in a nuclear power plant. The role involves both manual and remote operation of equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant performance. • Operate manually and remotely controlled plant equipment, including from locations outside the central control room. • Determine equipment status using shift logs and report operating issues to supervisor. • Maintain logs of unusual events and changes in operating conditions. • Provide direction and operations training to all personnel. • Perform fire protection duties: fire response, rescue, hazardous material incidents, first aid, and related record keeping. • Support decontamination, housekeeping, painting, and other assigned tasks. • Execute emergency response duties as assigned. • Complete the Equipment Operator qualification book.

What You Bring

• Meet ANSI standards and pass NRC physical, POSS, BMST, and psychological testing. • Ability to read basic diagrams and prints; physically capable of essential functions. • Obtain required certifications: Plant Access, Radiation Safety, Respirator, Fire Brigade, CPR (as needed), Radwaste Level 1 & 2. • Subject to periodic NRC or industry certification reviews. • 1+ year technical experience in power production, petrochemical, or industrial process plants (e.g., HVAC, electrical, maintenance). • 2+ years experience in non‑generating nuclear facilities (Navy, DOE) or related operations/maintenance. • BS or AS degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related science, or 43 credit hours with ≥75% advanced STEM coursework.
