About the Role
The primary function of a Field Based Project Manager (PM) is to increase sales productivity by fully engaging in and owning all post‑purchase‑order activities. This position focuses on industrial projects within the Gulf Region. The role requires taking responsibility for every step after a sales order is placed. The PM maximizes project profits by defining scope, assessing risks, and managing change control and costs while collaborating with engineering, finance, and operations. They conduct regular progress meetings with sales, field project management, order engineering, operations, contracts, and finance, and build internal and external relationships to drive the project‑management process. They coordinate order transition from sales, ensure contract requirements and client objectives are met, and maintain a communications plan and strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, they develop and share a milestone‑based project schedule with stakeholders. • Define project scope, assess risks, and manage change control and costs • Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations, and sales teams • Lead regular progress meetings with cross‑functional stakeholders • Coordinate order transition and ensure accurate order entry • Maintain contract compliance and client satisfaction • Develop and execute a project communications plan and stakeholder relationships • Create and share a milestone‑based project schedule • Apply project‑management methodologies to reduce risk • Prioritize multiple tasks to ensure proactive order management and customer service • Interact with senior decision‑makers to achieve positive outcomes for stakeholders

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (business, mechanical or electrical engineering) from an accredited institution and have at least five years of experience in project management, sales, engineering or a related field. A valid unrestricted driver’s license is required, and applicants must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Houston, Dallas, or Austin, Texas; relocation assistance is not provided. PMP certification and demonstrated experience with engineered power products in the industrial, oil‑and‑gas or construction markets are preferred. The ideal candidate can operate effectively in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment and present information persuasively and diplomatically. They apply project‑management methodologies to mitigate risk, prioritize multiple tasks, and deliver proactive order management and customer service.
