About the Role

The superintendent will perform all superintendent duties, enforce safety procedures, manage CPM schedules, review contracts and submittals, and develop strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors. They will recruit, train, mentor and evaluate field personnel, coordinate field construction activities for utility‑scale solar projects, oversee multiple crews and subcontractors, and ensure work meets quality and design standards. Responsibilities include ordering and tracking materials, preparing daily reports and documentation, leading pre‑job and progress meetings, supporting RFIs, submittals, commissioning and start‑up testing, and acting as SOLV Energy’s on‑site liaison with owners and internal teams. The superintendent will enforce LOTO procedures, collaborate with mechanical and civil teams, and promote a culture of teamwork, communication and accountability. • Enforce and model company safety procedures, including LOTO compliance. • Manage CPM project schedules to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion. • Review contracts, drawings, specifications and submittals from pre‑construction through turnover. • Recruit, train, mentor and evaluate field personnel such as Assistant Superintendents, foremen and crew members. • Coordinate and direct field construction activities for utility‑scale solar projects, ensuring safety, quality and design compliance. • Oversee multiple crews and subcontractors across various sites and regions. • Order and track materials, tools and equipment to prevent delays. • Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets and work orders. • Lead pre‑job, progress and subcontractor coordination meetings. • Support RFIs, submittals, commissioning and start‑up testing to achieve timely project close‑out and owner acceptance. • Collaborate with mechanical and civil teams to ensure integrated project execution.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are at least 5 years of supervisory field construction experience (10 years preferred) with extensive electrical work, preferably utility‑scale solar. Experience with medium‑voltage testing, SCADA, PV systems, underground installations, inverter skid installation, and strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC and IEEE standards is required. STSC certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), a valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. are also required. • Possess at least 5 years supervisory field construction experience with extensive electrical work (10 years preferred). • Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, NEC and IEEE standards. • Have experience with medium‑voltage testing, SCADA systems, PV solar and DC cable installations. • Hold or obtain STSC certification within 6 months of employment. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
