About the Role
This opportunity entails, while under close supervision, assisting assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic and routine administrative support work and other related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post‑secondary business curriculum, usually on a part‑time, temporary, or co‑op basis. Our Rocky Hill, Connecticut office is seeking an Environmental Planning/Public Involvement Intern for Summer 2026. Relocation and housing are not provided for this position. The intern will perform a variety of tasks such as preparing reports, tracking results, coordinating program developments, handling phone calls and messages, making copies, editing documents, responding to routine inquiries, and scheduling appointments. What You Bring
Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and be enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program. Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, the ability to work independently, prioritize work, and multitask. Relevant majors include Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Geology, Historic Preservation, Anthropology, Archaeology, and related fields, with knowledge of NEPA and environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, NHPA, and Endangered Species Act. • Must be enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program with a high school diploma/GED. • Preferred: proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask. • Relevant majors: Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Geology, Historic Preservation, Anthropology, Archaeology. • Knowledge of NEPA and regulations such as the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, NHPA, and Endangered Species Act is a plus.

The approximate pay range for the Rocky Hill, CT location is $21.03–$31.54 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
