About the Role

Reporting to the Opex Manager, the Network Inspector delivers a robust inspection regime across carriageway and corridor assets, identifies and prioritises defects, and recommends treatment solutions to meet contract requirements and performance measures. The role involves close collaboration with operational teams, asset managers, and emergency response crews, particularly during extreme weather events. • Conduct routine inspections of carriageway and corridor assets in line with inspection programmes • Identify, prioritise, and monitor network defects, proposing suitable repair solutions and timeframes • Record and manage all defects using tablets and Pocket RAMM / RAMM Contractor software • Create dispatches, upload photos, and assign correct fault and asset types to support efficient remedial works • Liaise with internal stakeholders to plan, execute, and complete maintenance activities • Monitor fault performance and identify non‑compliance, risks, and required corrective actions • Undertake night inspections and support emergency crews during severe weather events • Identify variations and improvement opportunities and report these to the Opex Manager • Update, add, and maintain asset data in RAMM in line with GDC / NZTA specifications • Ensure all inspection activities meet Downer’s Zero Harm, environmental, and quality standards
