About the Role
The Senior Facilities Manager provides managerial oversight of multiple facilities, an entire campus, or a portfolio of client facilities, supervising at least one Facilities Manager or Assistant Facilities Manager. They are responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure well‑managed, well‑maintained buildings, emphasizing tenant response, environmental health and safety, and quality programs in alignment with client goals. The role serves as the primary liaison with the client, leading staff in coordinating services, financials, vendors, and manpower for current and future building operations. They also own overall financial and KPI performance of the business plan within the portfolio. • Oversee daily operations of facilities, ensuring delivery of custodial, life‑safety, engineering, and maintenance services per company policies. • Manage service contracts cost‑effectively, conduct performance and financial reviews, lead RFPs, and ensure accurate invoicing. • Lead the maintenance program to maintain interior and exterior conditions and appearance of facilities. • Ensure staff promptly responds to client and tenant requests. • Implement ongoing contract review to assess and address client, tenant, and occupant needs. • Prepare and deliver consolidated budgeting, financial reporting, contract, and purchase order summaries. • Develop, explain, and manage the annual facility budget, quarterly forecasts, and business plans. • Assist in capital budgeting and five‑year maintenance and improvement planning. • Coordinate collection, analysis, and reporting of facility performance metrics and work order productivity. • Approve positions, direct hiring, training, and performance evaluation of facility staff, fostering proactive employee relations. • Manage customer focus and maintain effective relationships with key client contacts. • Drive innovation by developing best practices, operational efficiencies, and adopting industry trends. • Ensure tenants and vendors meet insurance requirements and coordinate claim handling.

What You Bring
Key competencies include communication, technical proficiency, problem solving, customer focus, financial management, leadership, relationship management, team orientation, vendor management, and multitasking. A bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration is required. Candidates must have 8‑10 years of facility management experience, including at least three years as a Facility Manager, and exposure to leasing, construction, engineering, human resources, and performance management. Experience with critical system environments and CMMS/Work Order Management is preferred.

Benefits

Compensation for this role ranges from $114,750 to $135,000 and is competitive based on location, experience, and collective bargaining status.
