About the Role

The Maintenance Technician role supports residents by ensuring quality move‑ins, resident satisfaction, swift service, and personal attention. The technician is accountable for delivering on these commitments and providing superior customer service. Core duties include preparing make‑ready apartments—painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs—while responding promptly and professionally to resident requests. The technician must be skilled in plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting, and, when applicable, snow removal, and must maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities in safe, clean condition. On‑call scheduling may be required to address after‑hour emergencies, and all maintenance concerns in vacant units, model homes, and common areas are reported to the Maintenance Supervisor. • Prepare make‑ready apartments (painting, carpet repair, cleaning, general repairs). • Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests. • Perform maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. • Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas and dog park amenities in safe, clean condition. • Participate in on‑call rotations for after‑hour emergencies. • Report maintenance issues in vacant units and common areas to the supervisor. • Follow fair housing laws and complete required training programs. • Deliver superior customer service while adhering to company dress and safety standards.

What You Bring

The position requires knowledge of state, local, and federal fair housing laws, attendance at required training, and adherence to company dress and safety standards. A valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II and CPO certification (or local equivalent), and the ability to read technical manuals, perform basic calculations, and write routine reports are essential. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED, trade, technical or vocational education, and at least one year of related experience. Work is performed in a professional office environment using standard office equipment, with regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions. Physical demands include extended standing and walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or moving objects up to 100 lb, with up to 10 % travel time required. • Possess a valid driver’s license and EPA‑608 Type II/CPO certification. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. • Ability to read technical documents, perform basic math, and write routine reports. • Work in an office setting, travel between properties, and handle physical tasks up to 100 lb.
