About the Role
The Project Director / Project Management Technical Director provides strategic leadership for large, complex programmes, builds organisational capability, mentors senior project leaders, and acts as a trusted adviser to clients to grow the PMCM business, especially in net‑zero and sustainability initiatives. • Provide strategic direction and oversight for major, complex programmes across multiple infrastructure sectors. • Build and sustain high‑performing project management teams, setting standards and developing talent pipelines. • Act as a trusted adviser to clients, strengthening long‑term relationships and identifying growth opportunities, particularly around net‑zero and sustainability. • Mentor senior project leaders, manage succession planning and contribute to the overall growth of the PMCM business. • Oversee portfolio performance, cost and margin management, budget forecasting and NEC3/4 ECC contract delivery.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold recognised project management qualifications (PMP, APM, PRINCE2), have extensive experience delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes, demonstrate senior‑level people leadership, stakeholder management, commercial acumen and NEC3/4 contract expertise, and possess a relevant engineering or construction degree with chartered status or a clear path to it. • Hold recognised project management certification (PMP, APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent). • Proven experience leading large‑scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes. • Demonstrated senior‑level people leadership, coaching, mentoring and performance management. • Strong commercial acumen, including budget forecasting, cost control and contract governance. • Degree in civil engineering or related discipline; chartered status or clear path to chartership.
