About the Role

The Maintenance Technician (Multifamily) in Madison, WI supports operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems. • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper,Bake paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment. • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations<List>6>and implement savings opportunities. • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance. • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and fire pumps. • Perform carpentry and snow removal as needed. • Comply with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company policies while practicing safe work habits. • Utilize technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems. • Complete all required C&W safety training annually. • Follow C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat, clean appearance on the property.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in a commercial property setting and technical or vocational training in areas such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word are required. The role operates primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment while also requiring frequent movement, standing, and manual handling on site.
