About the Role

The Dispatch Manager will oversee drivers in a market, ensuring prompt equipment receipt and delivery while complying with company and DOT standards. Sunbelt values safety, performance, and customer satisfaction, and expects managers to lead hiring, training, and coaching of driver teams, while coordinating schedules and dispatch operations with store locations and dispatch coordinators. • Enforce Sunbelt safety procedures and DOT compliance for all driver activities. • Hire, train, mentor, and coach drivers responsible for equipment pickup and delivery. • Manage team performance and safety, delegating tasks as needed. • Coordinate timely dispatch and accurate delivery of rental equipment across the market. • Oversee equipment transfers and consumable movements within the defined region. • Create, monitor, and adjust driver schedules to optimize on‑yard time. • Collaborate with Dispatch Coordinators to ensure rental contracts support efficient deliveries. • Review daily and weekly driver logs and conduct daily truck inspections. • Ensure drivers operate safely and courteously in line with company policies. • Resolve internal and external customer complaints professionally and report issues promptly.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of dispatching experience. • Knowledge of construction/industrial equipment applications. • Working knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. • Familiarity with the local delivery area.
