About the Role

The Quality Team Leader on Crew 1 is responsible for maintaining unit quality and productivity standards. This includes verifying correct assembly and installation of components such as EVAP coils, compressors, bases, filter racks, blowers, condensers, and control boards, as well as ensuring proper voltage, brazing, and charging procedures. The leader also trains team members to assemble sub‑assembly components accurately and quickly according to approved specifications. Scheduling production time to meet targets, printing and verifying work order packets, and confirming the availability of required parts are core tasks. The leader approves paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks, ensuring all documentation is signed off by Quality Team Leaders. Ongoing responsibilities include staying current on assembly procedures, enforcing warehouse safety and housekeeping, inspecting blueprints, and communicating effectively with management and the crew. • Ensure unit quality and productivity standards are met. • Verify correct assembly, installation, voltage, brazing, and charging of all components. • Train team members on accurate and rapid sub‑assembly installation. • Schedule production to achieve target output. • Print, verify, and manage work order packets. • Confirm availability of required parts and materials. • Approve sub‑assembly and end‑of‑line paperwork with proper sign‑offs. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of assembly procedures and equipment. • Enforce warehouse safety and housekeeping protocols. • Inspect blueprints and assembly drawings for compliance. • Communicate effectively with management and crew members. • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and provide production backup. • Complete AAON’s Quality Team Leader (QTL) program. • Lead, motivate, and engage employees across multiple teams. • Provide problem‑solving support and foster collaborative relationships. • Adhere to company policies, variable schedules, and overtime requirements.

What You Bring

The role requires completion of AAON’s Quality Team Leader (QTL) program and strong leadership and motivational skills to keep employees engaged. Flexibility to work with multiple teams, problem‑solving assistance, relationship building, consistent attendance, and willingness to work variable schedules and overtime are expected. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. • Meet physical demands such as standing, lifting 25‑50 lb, climbing, and operating tools.
