About the Role
We are seeking several Project Managers to join our Environmental Project Management team, reporting to a Senior Environmental Project Manager. In this role you will help deliver a wide range of environmentally focused projects for both public and private sector clients across the UK. You will have the chance to lead smaller projects independently while working alongside senior managers on major programmes, gaining exposure and development opportunities. The role also offers the possibility to line‑manage and mentor junior colleagues and to contribute to the team’s strategic development. • Develop project proposals, defining scope, resources, schedule, and cost estimates • Create and maintain project documentation such as plans, cost forecasts, risk registers, schedules, and stakeholder registers • Monitor and control project schedules, staff hours, budgets, forecasts, and overall progress • Ensure health and safety compliance for site visits, securing necessary approvals • Manage contracts and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle • Administer change and risk management, ensuring governance compliance and optimized delivery • Lead, mentor, and develop multi‑disciplinary environmental project teams and suppliers • Promote environmental betterment and net‑zero strategies, holding the team accountable • Represent the Environment & Consents function to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, building strong relationships

What You Bring
We are looking for candidates with proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environmental or sustainability sectors, and a genuine passion for land‑based sustainable development. Strong communication skills, programme‑management knowledge (including MS Project or Primavera), commercial and contractual awareness, and membership of a relevant professional institution are essential. • Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, preferably in environmental or sustainability projects • Demonstrated interest in land‑based sustainable development and a proactive, growth‑oriented attitude • Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep teams and stakeholders aligned • Working knowledge of programme management, work breakdown structures, dependencies, critical path, and tools like MS Project or Primavera P6 • Solid commercial and contractual understanding, with a track record of delivering within budget and handling change control; experience with NEC3/4 contracts is a plus • Membership or progress towards chartership with a professional body (e.g., PMI, APM, MIEnvSc, MRICS)
