About the Role

The Project Engineer, Product Life Cycle will join the engineering team at the Martin, TN site, where Product Lifecycle Engineering maintains and improves the quality, design, and performance of mature products. The position works closely with manufacturing and quality groups to remediate component issues and keep technical documentation up to date. In this role you will support on‑site development, conduct technical investigations, recommend design changes, and lead projects that address warranty, reliability, cost and quality goals. You will also manage material substitutions, first‑piece inspection discrepancies, and drive compliance with internal processes such as EP‑159. • Provide on‑site development engineering support. • Conduct technical investigations and assess need for design changes. • Recommend and qualify solutions, delivering required engineering documentation. • Approve all proposed material substitutions. • Lead projects focused on warranty reduction, reliability, cost, and quality improvement. • Manage disposition of deviant materials and first‑piece inspection discrepancies. • Ensure manufacturing and suppliers adhere to EP‑159 process standards. • Support new product launches with documentation, testing, and root‑cause analysis. • Apply advanced engineering concepts, problem‑solving, data analysis, and GD&T.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold an engineering degree or equivalent experience and have a solid background in designing high‑volume electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical systems. Proficiency with CAD tools, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and strong problem‑solving, communication, and project‑management abilities are essential. • BS in engineering (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years designing high‑volume systems. • 5+ years CAD experience using CATIA V5, Windchill, SAP, and Pro‑Trak. • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities. • Preferred: 3+ years manufacturing experience and prior engine/drivetrain work on agricultural or lawn equipment. • Preferred: Experience supervising technical personnel and familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.
