About the Role
In this role the successful candidate will carry out mechanical fitting, repairs and routine machinery upkeep to support base‑specific PAS operations. They will also maintain plant, equipment and systems to required standards, delivering both responsive and preventative maintenance while applying trade expertise to sustain operational readiness and contribute to hazard and risk management. • Perform mechanical fitting, repairs, and minor machinery maintenance for base PAS activities. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment. • Maintain equipment to standards and support a safe, compliant work environment.

What You Bring
Applicants should have post‑trade experience in mechanical fitting or maintenance services, along with demonstrable skills in preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical plant. Required credentials include a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, a current driver’s licence, and the ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory); confined‑space and White Card certifications are desirable. • Hold Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade and post‑trade mechanical fitting experience. • Possess Confined Space Entry and White Card certifications (desirable) and a valid driver’s licence. • Obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required).
