About the Role

The Freight Rail Geotechnical EIT/Coordinator role involves performing engineering analyses, developing design options, and assisting with cost estimates and specifications for geotechnical projects. Responsibilities include routine engineering assignments, slope stability, settlement, and seepage analyses, as well as supporting both small independent projects and larger team efforts. • Conduct analyses to develop design options, recommendations, and assist with cost estimates and specifications • Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures • Execute slope stability, settlement, and seepage analyses and geotechnical studies on routine and moderate projects • Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects • Provide direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate (or a commitment to obtain one for coordinators), and prior experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm. Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, proficiency with MS Office and relevant software, and a strong commitment to HDR’s collaborative, employee‑owned culture. • Hold a Master’s degree (preferred) • Possess an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate; coordinators expected to obtain EIT for career progression • Have prior experience with an architectural/engineering or consulting firm (preferred) • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required) • Proficient with MS Office and engineering software applications
