What You Bring

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HSE Advisor to join Rolls‑Royce Submarines in Derby. The role requires experience in facilities management or small construction works, familiarity with CDM regulations, and a proven ability to manage high‑hazard activities such as working at height, fire safety and lifting operations. Reporting to the local HSE Manager, you will support HS&E management arrangements, ensure compliance, and drive a zero‑harm culture in line with RRSL’s priorities. You will work within a team to define and deliver improvement plans, proactively identify emerging issues and promote good practice, while collaborating with business HS&E colleagues and the wider function. To work for Rolls‑Royce Submarines you must hold a Security Check clearance; we will support the application if needed. Candidates must be a UK national or, in MoD‑approved cases, a dual national. The role supports the company’s vision to maintain excellence and ingenuity as it undertakes a multi‑year transformation toward a high‑performing, competitive and resilient business. • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate (General/Construction); NEBOSH Diploma preferred. • Possess an IEMA/ISEP Environmental Certificate or equivalent. • Have experience as an HSE Advisor/Manager in construction or facilities management. • Demonstrate a proven track record working with contractors on construction/infrastructure projects. • Be eligible for Security Check clearance (UK national or MoD‑approved dual nationality).
