About the Role
The Operations Laborer at Republic Services performs safe and efficient general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Responsibilities include yard clean‑up, fueling vehicles, operating equipment, and basic office maintenance. The role requires the laborer to keep work areas tidy, service vehicles and equipment, maintain tracks, perform mowing and paper pick‑up, and operate site vehicles such as water trucks, sweepers, and mowers. They also handle office repairs, install temporary wind fences, direct on‑site traffic, and undertake additional tasks as assigned. • Clean up work areas • Clean track on track type and related equipment • Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick‑up • Operate site vehicles and equipment such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment • Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work • Install temporary wind fences as required • Direct traffic at the site as necessary
