About the Role
Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the store. Duties include operating cleaning machinery, performing thorough mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping, and cleaning areas such as toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and external trolley bays, while adhering to health‑and‑safety procedures. • Operate cleaning machinery safely. • Perform mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping and thorough cleaning of store areas. • Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and external trolley bays. • Follow all health and safety procedures. • Provide a smartphone with NFC capability for the Arcus Connect app.

What You Bring
No prior cleaning experience is required as full on‑the‑job training will be provided, though an eye for detail and a positive attitude toward cleaning and customer service are essential. Sainsbury’s stores operate seven days a week and Arcus offers a variety of shift patterns, including 5‑ and 6‑day weeks. The current schedule for this position is Sunday 12:00‑16:00, Monday 05:00‑09:00, Friday 05:00‑09:00, and Saturday 12:00‑16:00, with Tuesdays to Thursdays off, and overtime opportunities are also available.
