About the Role
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, material quantities, and sizes. • Identify required tools for each task. • Assess safety risks and implement precautions. • Fabricate equipment per blueprints or supervisor instructions. • Hoist equipment and tools using bull rigging or crane. • Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of steel members using plumb bobs, laser, transits, or levels. • Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts per blueprints. • Bolt aligned steel members for permanent riveting or bolting. • Position iron/steel equipment for bolting by pulling, pushing, or prying. • Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using shears, torches, and welding equipment.

What You Bring
ZACHRY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Industrial NCCER Boilermaker for the EXXONMOBILE Beaumont project in Beaumont, Texas. The position offers no per diem. The journeyman will construct iron and steel structures to specifications, including work on a Heat Recovery Exchange Generator (HRSG) and other miscellaneous structures. Candidates must have at least four years of NCCER Boilermaker experience, specifically with exchangers, and possess all required knowledge, skills, and abilities. They must be able to meet physical demands, work at heights exceeding 300 ft, have all necessary tools, and reliable transportation. Applicants should be current or former Zachry employees, hold NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, and have formal technical education. The role requires extensive physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as work at heights using ladders, platforms, and man lifts. Personal protective equipment—including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, safety vest, gloves, and leather boots—must be worn at all times.
