About the Role
In this position you will develop, lead, and manage a team of engineers, architects, and project managers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence. You will oversee all aspects of building enclosure testing, structural forensic investigations, condition assessments, and third‑party code compliance inspections. Project management duties include handling proposals, reviewing technical reports, and monitoring departmental profit‑and‑loss performance. Business development responsibilities involve cultivating client relationships and directing marketing efforts within the sector. Collaboration with the recruiting team will ensure the group remains fully staffed with top talent. • Develop, lead, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and project managers. • Oversee building enclosure, structural systems, due diligence, and code‑compliance operations, including testing, forensic investigations, condition assessments, and third‑party inspections. • Manage projects from proposal through technical review and departmental P&L performance. • Drive business development by building client relationships and leading marketing initiatives. • Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and retain top talent. • Lead high‑profile, technically complex projects with visibility.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a NAAB‑accredited B.Arch or M.Arch, or a BS in Engineering, Building Science, or a related field from an ABET‑accredited institution. At least eight years of experience in building enclosure consulting or structural engineering analysis is required. Applicants must be licensed or certified as a Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer, Registered Architect, or possess relevant IIBEC, University of Wisconsin‑Madison, or CxA+BE credentials. Strong technical background and proven leadership skills are essential. The ability to manage complex, high‑visibility projects is a must. • Hold an NAAB‑accredited architecture degree or ABET‑accredited engineering/building science degree. • Possess 8+ years of building enclosure consulting or structural engineering experience. • Be licensed or certified as a PE, SE, RA, or hold IIBEC, UW‑Madison BECxP, or CxA+BE credentials.
