About the Role
• Operate and maintain small water treatment plants at a Defence base safely and efficiently. • Monitor water quality, conduct sampling, testing and report results. • Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes under supervision. • Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on plant equipment. • Report any equipment faults or failures to the Leading Hand.

What You Bring
The position begins in February 2026 and is open to candidates from any background, whether they have defence experience, industry knowledge or transferable skills from other sectors. The role offers the chance to contribute to national defence capability within a high‑performing, inclusive team. • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (mandatory). • NSW Water Operator Certification. • Current open driver’s licence and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Experience in water‑treatment plant operations and chemical handling (desired). • Desirable qualifications: Chemical Handling Certification, Confined Space, Working at Heights and White Card.
